Foto della serie " Ritratti B & N " ognuno di questi ritratti è il frutto di un lavoro svolto per le strade della Salerno centro storico nella fine anni '60 ed inizio anni '70. La fotografia di ritratti viene esaltata dal bianco e nero in quanto la mancanza del colore, e quindi la presenza di un’immagine che basa la sua forza sui contrasti luminosi, porta l’osservatore a concentrare la sua attenzione sul volto del modello fotografato.
Photo of the series "Portraits B & N" each of these portraits is the result of a work carried out on the streets of the historic center of Salerno in the late 60's and early 70's. Portrait photography is enhanced by black and white as the lack of color, and therefore the presence of an image that bases its strength on light contrasts, leads the observer to focus his attention on the face of the photographed model.
Il ritratto a colore e l’effetto emotivo dello stesso è un argomento basato sull’intuizione. Sebbene ognuno di noi sappia generalmente distinguere colori a livello emotivo, moltissimi si preoccupano di bilanciare il bianco in maniera corretta. Il risultato è che, per quanto possa essere ”corretta” la fotografia, manca di quel “qualcosa” che ci emoziona.
The color portrait and the emotional effect of the same is a subject based on intuition. Although each of us generally knows how to distinguish colors on an emotional level, many are concerned with balancing white correctly. The result is that, however "correct" photography may be, it lacks that "something" that excites us.
Nel ritratto ambientato, il soggetto viene fotografato nel corso delle sue attività quotidiane. L’idea è quella di non limitarsi a ritrarre la persona, ma anche quello che solitamente fa nella vita o nel tempo libero e mostrare gli interessi e metterli in risalto nella composizione dell’immagine.
In the set portrait, the subject is photographed in the course of his daily activities. The idea is to not just portray the person, but also what they usually do in life or in their free time and show their interests and highlight them in the composition of the image.
