Il Foro fu costruito dopo il 273 a.C., nella parte meridionale, che era stata l'antica agora; era il centro politico, religioso e sociale e vi si svolgevano le votazioni dell'assemblea popolare. Il Foro fu costruito in numerose fasi edilizie: era circondato su due lati da tabernae, edifici a carattere commerciale che presentavano una pianta rettangolare divisa in due (bottega e retrobottega) ed a volte composto anche da un piano superiore.

Le dimensioni dell abitazuìioni variano di molto, ci sono sia abitazioni ricche di dimensioni ridotte come la Casa con impluvio, sia domus enormi come la "Casa con piscina".
